As per the directions given in the Annual Master Circular,State Govt decided to fix the upper cap for the quantum of assistance given to
individual beneficiaries in MahathmaGandhi NREGS. For ST beneficiaries maximum limit is Rs.6 lakhs, for SC beneficiaries maximum Rs.5 lakhs and for other category maximum of Rs.4 lakhs per annum.

LIFE Mission Registration Fee & Stamp Duty Excemption
For the registration of land purchased by individuals who contributed land to those
families enrolled in the Life Mission Project, the Government have decided to wave the stamp
duty and registration fee payable subject to certain conditions.

Govt decided to delete those families,who fail to purchase ration goods continuously for a period of three months, from the priority list.The eligible persons should be included in the priority list in the vacancy of excluded families.

LSGD Integration-Draft Special Rules Issued
The LSGD Principal Director published draft special rules to bring together five services that are currently under LSGD - Panchayat, Rural Development, Urban Affairs, Local Self Government Engineering and Urban-Rural Planning - in order to form a single, unified Local Self Government Department. The document was published after discussions with various organisations of State Govt Employees.

LSGI issued detailed guidelines for licensing honey suckers by Local Self Government Institutions.As per the instructions,ordinary trucks shall not be used to collect sewage. Vehicles designed especially
for collection of sepatage as per Standards and Specifications, to be evolved,
only shall be used for the same.

Credit Cards for Fishermen
The Government of India has extended the facility of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) to fisheries and animal husbandry farmers to help them meet their working capital needs. The KCC facility will help fisheries and animal husbandry farmers to meet their short term credit requirements of rearing of animals, poultry birds, fish, shrimp, other aquatic organisms and capture of fish.

Jal Shakti Abhiyan for Water Conservation Launched
Union Jal Shakti Minister, announced the commencement of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan - a campaign for water conservation and water security. The campaign will run through citizen participation during the monsoon season, from 1st July, 2019 to 15th September, 2019. The focus of the campaign will be on water stressed districts and blocks. In Kerala, State Govt decided to include 30 more blocks to the programme in addition to GOI proposed 3 blocks.
