Reserve Bank Of India declared NREGS Job card issued by Gramapanchayath Secretary as a valid proof for opening Bank Accounts. But most of the Bank Managers were not obeying the RBIs rule. Now RBI clarified again that NREGA job card as a valid document not only for small accounts but for all accounts also. The system of introduction by an existing customer of bank was also amended by RBI. RBI clarified that ID proof is enough to start accounts and introduction by an existing customer not mandatory for opening accounts
