Chief Secretary wants administrative system to be more responsive

Chief Secretary Shri. K. Jayakumar has called on Government officials from top to the cutting edge level to ensure that the needy and deserving persons receive the benefits of schemes. In a letter sent on 10.05.2012 to all secretaries, he has asked to maintain a cordial and helpful atmosphere in the Government offices. 
‘‘Courtesy, transparency, accountability and responsiveness should be the four pillars of administration... With a little extra effort and sensitivity, the Government machenary could make huge difference in the quality and delivery of services’’, he said in his letter.The secretaries who are asked to forward the letter to all heads of departments falling under them who in turn send the copy of the letter, which CS has personally signed to all field level officers.
