Unemployment Allowance (Kerala) Rules, 2019 was published for general information. Objections and suggessions can be raised within 30days from the date of notification. The objections or
suggestions, if any, shall be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Local Self
Government Department, Secretariat Annexe-I, Thiruvananthapuram -695001.
Stamp Duty, Registration Fee Exempted For LSGI Land Purchase
The Government have decided to exempt from paying Registration Fee and Stamp Duty for the registration of land being purchased in the name of Local Self Government Institutions and land being donated by private persons to Government, Local Self Government Institutions, Government owned institutions, Public Sector Undertakings for public purpose.

Flood Affected LSGIs - Special fund Utilisation Guidelines Issued
Finance Department allotted 212.5 crores to flood affected LSGIs as Special Development Fund. LSGI issued detailed guidelines for utilizing the amount.
PMAY(G) Payment Permission for Plinth Area Extended Houses

LIFE Housing Mission Kerala issued detailed guidelines for the smooth conduct of house work completed beneficiaries meet at Block,Municipal & District level. Financial sanction is also allowed by LSGD for conducting the meet by LSGIs.

MahathmaGandhi NREGS Engineering Staff Appointment Criteria Revised
LSGD issued clarification regarding the appointment of Engineering Staff on Contract basis for Mahathma Gandhi NREGS in LSGIs. Interview committee were also constituted for various tires. The new directions will be applicable to new appointments only.
SC Promoters-Honorarium Enhanced
Govt decided to enhance honorarium given to SC Promoters working in LSGIs. The enhanced rate of Rs 10000 will have effect from December 1st 2019.
Annual Plan 2020-2021 LSGIs Directions Issued
Kerala Govt directed all Local Self Govts to start preparation of annual plan for the financial year 2020-21. A special Development Seminar should be conducted for framing Disaster Management Plan by Local Bodies.The last date for approval from DPC was fixed as March 14th 2020.
Disaster Management Plan in LSGIs Guidelines Issued
LSGD issued detailed guidelines for the formation of LSGI level Disaster Management Plans.Emergeny Resource Teams should be constituted at each LSGIs for making sudden action for disaster management.

LSGD issued notification revising the existing Kerala Panchayath Raj Buiding Rules 2011 and Kerala Municipal Building Rules 1999.The new rules have effect from November 2019.

PMAY(G) Houses to Newly Selected Beneficieries
Ministry Of Rural Development permitted State Govts to distribute housing assistance to newly selected beneficiaries by Awaas Plus mobile app survey conducted in last February. For the inclusion of newly selected beneficiaries to the data base, every state have to delete the ineligible SECC beneficiaries through the Remand Module available in Awaas Software.

Local Body Election-Delimitation Committee Constituted
