Kerala Govt approved the guidelines for  general transfer of State Govt Employees. General transfer should be completed before April 30th in non vacation depts and August 31st in vacation depts.

Rural Development- General Transfer 2017- Directions Issued

CRD issued detailed guidelines for the general transfer of employees of Rural Development Department, Kerala. Transfer applications should be submitted in prescribed form to the concerned Project Director/ Asst Development Commissioner (General) within 28/02/2017.Final list of officers eligible for transfer will be publishe on 5th April.

LIFE, Beneficiary Selection Survey- Directions Issued

LSGD issued detailed guidelines for the selection of new housing scheme implemented as a part of 'Navakerala Mission'. Survey will be conducted by Kudumbashree volunteers on 18th and 19th of February 2017. Survey will be based on SECC data and Landless Houseless list published by LSGIs.

LIFE Housing Scheme 3 Lakh Rs Assitance to General Beneficiaries

LSGD decided to allow Rs 3 Lakh as unit cost for LIFE housing scheme general beneficiaries. SC beneficieris unit cost were also increased and fixed as 4 lakh per house. Plintha area of houses built in LIFE Scheme was reduced to 600 sq feet.

CM's Janaswanthana Fund Guidelines Issued

Kerala Govt issued detailed guidelines for operating the public welfare fund named as CM's Janaswanthana Fund. Minimum assistance from the fund will be Rs 10000 and Maximum Rs 3 Lakhs. Application can be submitted in white paper to Chief Minister, Finance Minister,Chief Secretary, Finance Dept Addl Chief Secretary or Concerned District Collector.

DA Hike Order Issued

Finance department issued orders increasing dearness allowance allowable to state Govt Employees and Teachers by 3%. DA at the enhanced rate will be paid in cash with the salary for the month of January 2017 on wards.

XIIIth Plan Formation Guidelines Issued

LSGD issued detailed guidelines for the formation of Thirteenth Five Year Plan. LSGI level Planning Committee should be formed before 16 th january. LSGI Secretaries should be the Plan Co Ordinator.

LSGD decided to rename State Institute Of Rural Development (SIRD) as  Kerala Institute Of Local Administration (KILA) Centre For Human Resource Development. The post of Director was renamed as Regional Director.

IAY Spill Over Completion in Campaign Mode

CRD issued detailed circular for the completion of Spill Over Houses within March 31st. Spill Over beneficiaries should be categorized in to 5 groups and separate strategy may be  used for each group. Services of elected members, Youth Clubs, NGOs etc can be used effectively for the successful completion of the campaign.

Prime Minister's Awaas Yojana (Gramin) Launched

  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched “Housing for All” in rural areas under which the Government proposes to provide an environmentally safe and secure pucca house to every rural household by 2022. Named the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin), in its first phase the target is to complete one crore houses by March 2019. The unit cost for these houses has been significantly increased and now through convergence a minimum support of nearly Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.6 lakh to a household is available. There is also a provision of Bank loan upto Rs. 70,000/-, if the beneficiary so desires. The selection of beneficiaries has been through a completely transparent process using the Socio Economic Census 2011 data and validating it through the Gram Sabha.
